Seth's everywhere Alex is and it's putting a serious cramp in her attempt to spend time with Aiden, the pure-blood she loves. As her fated "other half", he's on her like stink on a dog, like white on rice, like a daimon half-blood on an Apollyon.

She can't seem to escape the nightmares, the memories of her time spent held captive by her daimon-turned mother or the guilt she feels over Caleb's injuries. Alex has suffered greatly and at the hands of the one person she loved most in this world, her mother. This second installment in the Covenant series does not disappoint. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies-lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon. Or what he will do-and sacrifice-for her. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom-so not cool. Her writing style always makes me fall in love, and I’ll be able to read all of her books one day, I promise.Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome-especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. I can say that the Armentrout never let me down. If you want to find out what it’s all about, you just have to read it. There is only one scene that can be compared to Richelle Mead’s books, but I’m not going to tell you which one because it would be a huge spoiler for both #Alex&Aiden team and #Alex&Seth team. 🙂 And then the new original covers are absolute love.Īnyway, back to the book, a lot of overwhelming things happen. But in this case the covers reflect the story.Īnd I personally are one who chooses books for the cover primarily, I have to admit it.

The books should not be judged by the covers, and it is true, because many times the cover doesn’t make much justice. They represent the three protagonists of the series. I can not wait to buy and read the fourth volume.Īnd then, let’s talk about the Italian covers, which are wonderful! Although their love is impossible, they are still such a spectacular couple. I fall in love with Aiden and Alex more and more, I love to read about them together. This book was amazing, much, but much better than the first two. Armentrout’s “Deity”, the third book of the Covenant series.(1.

ArmentroutĮven though it was not part of my TBR I decided to take a break from the books to read for Netgalley and I decided to read Jennifer L.
